The Disposable Vomit Bags are worth buying if you’ve got a car full of people who get carsick and nothing better than a grocery bag to hand them. They hold 2000ml, the inside is plastic-lined so nothing soaks through, and the dual-zip top seals like a Ziploc. Buy them if your glove box is currently empty-handed for this problem.

I keep these bags in my glove box and here’s why
The moment you actually need a vomit bag, you have about four seconds before the situation gets much worse, and a crumpled grocery bag from the back seat doesn’t cut it. I keep a pack of these folded flat in my glove box specifically for that moment: one hand on the wheel, the other passing a sealed, plastic-lined bag to the back seat. Check the Disposable Vomit Bags here if that scenario sounds familiar.
Vomit bags aren’t new, but most people default to a grocery bag
Most emesis bags are plain paper or plastic with no seal; this one’s dual-zip top changes that. The dual-zip top on this version is what separates it from the thin hospital-style bags you’ve probably seen before, the ones that just fold over at the top and hope for the best. Amazon currently ranks this listing at #143,867 in Health & Household, which tells you it’s a real seller in a category most people don’t think about until they need it in the next 30 seconds.
People assume a vomit bag is just a bag
The assumption is that any bag will do in a pinch, but a regular plastic grocery bag has no lining, no seal, and nothing stopping it from leaking straight through the bottom. These actually carry as much as 2000 mls, and the inside here is like a plastic material so it’s not gonna soak through the paper or anything. It is all contained in here. That’s the whole difference between this and a bag you grabbed out of the pantry.
The closure is the one detail that actually matters
It’s got this really nice closable area, just like a Ziploc bag to close it up, so no matter what is in here, it’s not going to come out. That dual-zip seal is the whole point of a product like this. A bag that holds liquid but doesn’t seal is just a bucket you’re carrying around the car, and this one doesn’t have that problem. It’s also got this great carrying handle here, so once it’s sealed, you just hold onto it and carry it straight to the trash without touching anything.
What it costs you after the first pack
There’s no maintenance here, these are one-use and done, which is exactly the point. You fold the next one flat and tuck it back in the glove compartment. Today’s price is near the lowest this listing has tracked, if you’ve been putting it off, buy the pack now.
Who actually needs these in the car
Buy these if you drive kids, travel with a pregnant partner, or do any road trip longer than two hours, basically anyone who has ever held a leaking grocery bag out a car window knows exactly why the dual-zip seal matters. Skip it if your car is genuinely a vomit-free zone; a 10-pack sitting untouched in the glove box for three years is the only real downside here.
Pros
- Holds 2000ml, more room than you’d expect from a paper bag
- Plastic-lined interior keeps it from soaking through
- Dual-zip closure seals like a Ziploc, contains everything
- Carrying handle makes it easy to walk straight to the trash
- Folds flat for the glove box, pops open fast when needed
Cons
- Still a one-time-use paper bag, not reusable
- Only useful if someone in the car actually gets sick, otherwise it’s dead weight in the glove box
Frequently Asked Questions
Can vomit bags for kids be used without adult help?
The listing notes these are suitable for adults, teens, and children with adult assistance. For a younger kid, you’re the one popping it open and holding it steady, then sealing it once they’re done.
Do these work for air travel, not just vomit bags for car use?
Yes, the same fold-flat design that fits a glove box also fits a seat-back pocket or carry-on. The dual-zip seal matters even more on a plane where you can’t just pull over.
How long can a sealed bag sit before you need to toss it?
Don’t let it sit around once it’s used, the point of the dual-zip is containment for the trip to a trash can, not storage. Toss it as soon as you reasonably can.
Are the blue vomit bags different from the printed designs?
The pack I have shows different printed designs on the front and back of each bag, not a plain blue bag. The point of the print is to keep the contents discreet, so the exact pattern isn’t the thing to shop on, the dual-zip seal is.
