We are mobile and on a mission! We bring assessments and services to clients with the understanding that leaving the home for treatment may not be realistic at times or at all. We service clients in their homes, adult day care, senior living, and recreation centers.

Occupational Therapy

Our experienced occupational therapists (OT’s) work with clients to return them to independence with activities of daily living (e.g. grooming/bathing/dressing) to be able to engage in community activities.
Rehabilitation post shoulder surgery, stroke recovery training, hand motor skill retraining, home modifications and adaptive equipment training are some of the many areas we work hard to improve.
Caregivers are an essential part of a client’s program with training provided to ensure safety, effectiveness and carryover of learned skills and exercise programs.

Dementia & Caregiver Training

The progression of dementia includes a variety of changes to the brain resulting in cognitive and safety awareness declines diminishing a person’s ability to function and live independently. Altered personality, routine disruption and relationship changes occur causing an individual to require increased care.
We will adapt and modify activities to enable a client to have success in meaningful activities with an emphasis on the client’s quality of life and personal care.

Lymphedema Management

Lymphedema is the build up of a protein rich fluid essential for our immune system to function. The lymphatic system works with our circulatory system for movement of fluid throughout the body.
Excessive build up occurs due to genetics (Primary Lymphedema) or caused by damage (Secondary Lymphedema) as a result of an infection (e.g. cellulitis), surgical procedures or cancer treatments (e.g. radiation)
Our Certified Lymphedema and Wound Care Therapists (CLWTs) manage this condition with Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), Multi-Layered Lymphedema Bandaging (MLLB) and Custom Garment fitting.
Additionally, we are experienced with and perform wound and skin care management and complete compression fittings.

Skills2Care

Skills2Care is an evidence-based program designed for individuals with dementia and their caregivers developed by Thomas Jefferson University.
The focus of the program is on the development of skills to improve the well-being of caregivers and reduction of challenging behaviors of the client with dementia such as wandering, agitation (sundowning) and refusal for personal care assistance that may often occur.
This service may also be provided over telehealth to reduce risk for COVID-19 transmission.

Excellent therapy for my legs - lymphedema. JD is empathetic and gentle and my legs have improved by leaps and bounds. I have had difficulty with my legs for more than 2 years and now they are greatly improved. I would definitely recommend JD and his therapy to anyone who needs help.

JD is very friendly and knowledgeable! He worked with my Dad after a hospitalization and did wonders. He was very patient and explained everything to him which really helped. Even at discharge- he spent time giving us tips on what to watch for and how to prevent future exacerbations. Thanks JD! I am sure at some point we will request your services again since my Dads lymphedema is chronic.

JD the OT is a highly skilled, compassionate and caring individual who doesn't know the meaning of quit. He doesn't give up, not on anyone. No matter how hard or complex the case is; he is going to pull out all the stops and gather as much information as he possibly can find in trying to develop the correct therapy and solution to whatever problem is facing his patients. Not only does he not know the meaning of quit; but he does not know how to not care and not give 110% of himself. Staff shortages secondary to this covid-19 pandemic put him in a position that he either worked 7 days a week or patients weren't going to be seen and I found it Incredulous that he was coming to me every day of the week just so that no one would miss a treatment and possibly suffer. An exemplary young man with a heart as big as Texas and a passion that drives him to make a difference and find the best therapies and solutions for each individual. I only speak this way because that is what he's done for me and has been a blessing and very upfront about all of the treatments, all of my options, things I might want to explore; not only now but in the future. Being a medical professional myself; I found it quite refreshing that he went as far above and beyond in all aspects of my therapy; as I have not experienced this level of commitment and professionalism in a very long time in the healthcare industry. Kudos JD the OT. You are truly one of a kind. Thank you for all you've done for me.
