The upright Christmas tree storage bag is worth buying if you have an 8 to 9 foot artificial tree and you’re done stripping ornaments every January. The waterproof 600D Oxford cover slides over a fully decorated tree on clip-together support rods, one person, no ladder. Buy it if the annual teardown is your pain point.

Quick Verdict
A full year on the green one and it’s still in really good condition. The rods clip into each other like tent poles, the cover slides up and over a 9-foot decorated tree, and the zipper runs all the way down around the base. It’s that easy.
Buy if you:
- have an 8 to 9 foot artificial tree
- want to store it with the ornaments still on
- keep your tree outside or in a damp garage
- are doing this alone with no ladder
Skip if you:
- need the rods pre-assembled, you clip and slide them up the cover before anything else happens
- have a tree under 8 feet, this is sized for 8 to 9
- take your tree fully apart anyway and just need a flat box

A Year On the Green One
After a full year in my garage, the green cover still looks new, no cracks, no fade, no zipper creep. All I had to do was fluff it out. That’s the proof no spec on the listing can give you: eleven months in a garage, and I didn’t have to do anything to it before putting it back on the tree.
The company sent me a brand new one to put on the 9-foot tree. Inside the bag you get the carrying case, the cover itself, and the tent stakes. Instructions are right in there too if you have questions. Super easy to put together.
The stakes just go right into one another. They clip into place like tent poles, then slide up the cover. You zip it up, and there are your supports. Unzip, bring it up and over the tree, take the clips, done.
Zip It, Clasp It, Lock It Down
The clasps on top of the zippers are the detail I’d point at first. Zippers alone can creep open in a garage over eleven months. These clasps lock it down on top of the zipper line so nothing works loose.
And the zipper goes all the way down around the base. That matters if you’re setting this on a concrete floor or outside on a patio, because the bottom is where bugs and water find their way in. Sealing the base is what makes the waterproof 600D Oxford claim mean anything.
Maintenance after that is basically nothing. Fluff the cover out when you unpack it, fold it back into the carrying case when the tree comes out. No replacement parts to chase, no consumables, nothing to buy again next December.
Outdoor Storage Is Where It Earns the Oxford Cloth
Outdoor storage is where the 600D Oxford stops being a marketing bullet. The base zipper seals at ground level, that’s the entry point for rain pooling on a patio or bugs working up from concrete, and the clasps mean the zipper stays closed through wind and temperature swings over eleven months, not just the first week.
Sizing is the hard cutoff: this is built for 8 to 9 foot trees, and my 9-footer filled it out properly. A 6-footer will slosh around inside with a foot of slack at the top, you’re not getting a snug seal, which defeats the whole point.
Worth It for the Hours You Get Back
Skip ornament teardown entirely, slide the cover over a fully dressed tree, zip, done. That’s the whole pitch, and after a year I’d say it holds. The trade-off is the up-front rod assembly, which takes a couple minutes the first time and is muscle memory after that.
On pricing: it’s sitting right around where it’s been for the last three months, and close to the lowest I’ve seen it tracked. It’s also selling a little slower lately than its 90-day average, which usually means stock isn’t tight. Nothing urgent, just a decent window. The current price is on the product page.
Buy it if ornament teardown is your pain point and your tree fits 8 to 9 feet. Skip it if you disassemble to bare branches anyway.
Pros
- Green one held up through a full year and still looks good
- Tree stays fully decorated, no ornament teardown
- Rods clip together like tent poles, one person, no ladder
- Zipper runs down around the base and clasps lock over the zipper line
- Keeps the water out for outdoor storage
Cons
- You assemble and slide the support rods before the cover goes anywhere, it’s not a grab-and-throw bag
- Only sized for 8 to 9 foot trees
- Pointless if you break your tree down to the branches each year anyway
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I roll or move the tree once it’s covered?
Not inside the cover, no. Think of this as a cover for a tree that stays where you park it. If you need to relocate it, do that first and then bring the cover up and over.
How do I clean it?
Wipe it down. It’s 600D Oxford cloth, so garage dust comes off with a damp cloth and it dries fast. Don’t put it through a washing machine.
What are the tent stakes for?
They anchor the cover if you’re storing the tree outdoors on ground that’ll take a stake. Indoors on a garage floor you won’t use them, and the clasps over the zippers do the securing instead.
