The RAPIQUE Bluetooth Wireless Mouse is worth buying if you move between a laptop, tablet and PC and want quiet clicks. Three DPI settings, dual Bluetooth plus a 2.4 GHz dongle, one AA battery. Small enough for a pocket, not too small for larger hands. Buy it as a travel and work mouse, not a gaming one.

Quick Verdict
I’ve been reaching for this little thing more than my actual gaming mouse, and that surprised me. Three DPI settings, quiet clicks, and it tracks fine on a bare desk with no mouse pad. Small enough to throw in a pocket.
Buy if you:
- Bounce between a PC, a MacBook and a tablet during the day
- Need quiet clicks for calls, a library or a shared office
- Work from a desk with no mouse pad on it
- Want something that goes in a backpack pocket for travel
Skip if you:
- Pound your mouse buttons. It does make noise when I really hammer on it, the silent switches only go so far
- Want a gaming mouse. 1600 DPI is the ceiling here
- Hate dealing with AA batteries instead of a built-in rechargeable

I Stopped Using My Gaming Mouse
I expected to test it once and set it aside. Instead I kept reaching for it over my gaming mouse, heavier, more buttons, dedicated pad and all. The size is the first thing you notice: genuinely pocket-sized, but not so small that your hand cramps up trying to hold it. You can check current pricing on Amazon if you want numbers before reading further.
That matters to me. My gaming mouse is heavier, has more buttons, and lives on a pad. This one just sits there and gets used.
One AA Battery, Six Months Claimed
Single AA battery, ~6 months claimed by the company. I haven’t had it for 6 months, so I can’t confirm that number. What I can tell you is the matte black shell with the red-to-black gradient on the buttons hasn’t picked up fingerprints or scuffs during my use, and the physical power switch on the bottom means you’re not draining it in a bag.
The AA thing cuts both ways. No charging cable to lose, but you’re buying batteries instead of plugging it in. If you’re the type who hates a drawer full of AAs, that’s a real strike.
It Tracks On a Bare Desk, Not Just a Pad
Tracks reliably on a bare wooden desk, no pad, no slick surface treatment, nothing, which is the test I actually cared about. Half my working day isn’t at a proper setup, so a mouse that goes unreliable the moment there’s no mat under it is a mouse I stop using. This one didn’t drop a beat either way.
Range is the other one. My computer is right here, but usually I’ll sit on the other end of the room and just use the monitor from a distance. It does a good job at that while using the dongle function. Extremely responsive and you can go a good distance with this.
Then there’s the noise. The wheel is quiet, the mouse buttons are quiet. But it’s not silent. When I really pound on it you can hear it. So if you’re a heavy clicker, don’t expect total silence, expect a big reduction from a normal mouse. For calls and shared rooms it’s more than enough.
Three DPI settings: 800, 1200 and 1600. Those are cycled with the DPI button right on top. 1600 is the ceiling, which is fine for documents, spreadsheets and browsing. It’s not a gaming spec and I wouldn’t pretend otherwise.
The Dongle Lives In The Bottom
The 2.4 GHz dongle stores in a slot on the underside of the mouse. It just goes right in there, and when you’re ready to use it you pop it right out and put it in the PC. That’s the whole maintenance story on this one. No app, no firmware, no cleaning routine beyond wiping the shell.
Cost after purchase is a AA battery every so often. That’s it.
Where This Sits Against Other Travel Mice
Most quiet travel mice make you pick one connection type. This one gives you three modes on a switch, and that’s the separator. Amazon’s showing more than 100 bought in the past month and the price has been sitting flat for about three months, so there’s no point sitting around waiting for a dip that isn’t coming.
Against a rechargeable slim mouse, you trade the USB-C port for a AA. Against a full-size ergonomic mouse, you trade palm support for pocketability. Where it wins is the multi-device juggling, and you can check today’s price on Amazon to see where it lands.
Three Modes, Two Colors, One Switch
Three connections via one switch: two Bluetooth channels (green/blue lights) plus 2.4 GHz dongle. First Bluetooth is green, the second one is blue, and then it rotates through to the dongle. That’s how you jump devices without re-pairing anything.
I had my tablet set up with a little test document and it connected right over. Click, scroll, everything worked. And it’s not just good on Windows, it’s also good on Mac or your tablet or Linux, so a bluetooth wireless mouse for laptop duty during the week and iPad duty on the couch is the same device.
Button layout: left and right up front, two side buttons for forward and back, the DPI button, and the scroll wheel. Standard, nothing exotic, all where your fingers expect.
Who I’d Hand This To
The clearest fit is someone juggling a laptop, a tablet, and maybe a second machine, anything where re-pairing a single-mode mouse every time you switch is a small but recurring annoyance. The physical switch handles that in one click. Size-wise, it disappeared into a jacket pocket in my tests; people with larger hands used it without complaint, but it’s a fingertip grip, not a palm rest.
The limits are the 1600 DPI ceiling and the fact that hard clicking still makes an audible sound. Neither of those matter for work. Both matter if you were hoping to replace a gaming mouse with it. If that sounds like your situation, it’s an easy one to check today’s price on Amazon and try.
Pros
- Three connection modes on one switch, Bluetooth x2 plus the 2.4 GHz dongle
- Tracks fine on a bare desk with no mouse pad under it
- Quiet wheel and quiet buttons under normal use
- Small enough for a pocket but still fits larger hands
- Dongle stores in the bottom so it doesn’t get lost
Cons
- It does make noise if you really pound on the buttons, the quiet switches have a limit
- 1600 DPI tops out below what gamers want
- AA battery instead of a built-in rechargeable
Frequently Asked Questions
Does it need an app or software to switch devices?
No app, no account, no driver install. Everything runs off the physical mode switch on the mouse itself, so there’s nothing to download and nothing to update. Plug the dongle in or pair over Bluetooth and it works.
Will it work with a Chromebook or an iPad?
Yes. It’s listed for Chromebooks and iPads along with Windows, Mac and Linux, and I used it on my tablet without issue. A bluetooth wireless mouse for ipad or Chromebook use is handled by one of the two Bluetooth channels, so you don’t need a USB port free.
What happens if I lose the USB dongle?
You’d lose the 2.4 GHz mode, but the two Bluetooth channels keep working independently. That’s the upside of three modes. The dongle also clips into the bottom of the mouse, so it stays with the device when you travel.
Is it comfortable for all-day use?
It’s shaped ergonomically and held up fine through my work sessions, though it’s a compact body rather than a full palm-filling one. If you rest your whole hand flat on a large mouse all day, this is a different grip. Larger hands still fit it without cramping.
