The Everlasting Comfort Tucker memory foam cushion is worth buying if you edit, game, or work six-plus hours a day and your seat is the weak link. The U-shaped cutout pulls pressure off the tailbone and the foam responds as you sit. Buy it, but measure your chair first.

How this review was made: written from my own video review of this product. Every opinion here is my own, from using it myself.

Quick Verdict

I didn’t change my chair. I changed what’s on it, and that’s what let me stay in the seat through a full edit. The U-shaped cutout goes at the back, the foam responds in real time, and the lifetime warranty means there’s no risk in trying it.

Buy if you:

  • edit, game, or work 6+ hours a day in one chair
  • feel it in the tailbone before you feel it in your back
  • want to fix the chair you already own instead of replacing it
  • move between a desk chair, a couch, and a car seat

I Didn’t Buy a New Chair. I Changed the Seat.

I cut video at this desk most of the day, and around hour three I’d be shifting, standing, finding excuses to leave the room. The chair wasn’t the problem, the flat, unforgiving seat pan was dumping all that load straight onto my tailbone. The fix was the Everlasting Comfort Tucker memory foam cushion on Amazon, not a new chair.

I pressed into the foam on camera and watched it come back up. That’s the foam responding in real time, not the cheap stuff that compresses once and stays compressed. For me it makes editing more comfortable, which in practical terms means I stop shifting around every twenty minutes looking for a position that doesn’t hurt.

Where Comfort Lumbar Support Fits Next to Everything Else

Gel pads spread pressure but don’t remove the contact point, your coccyx still takes load, just softer load. Wedge cushions tilt your pelvis forward, which helps lumbar curve but does nothing for tailbone pain specifically. A full ergonomic chair swap costs ten to twenty times more and still won’t have a cutout unless you buy one designed for coccyx relief. If the ache is at the tailbone, the cutout is the only mechanism that actually solves it.

Here’s the part that matters to me as an OT. A chair changes your whole posture chain. A cushion changes one specific thing: where your body weight lands. If the pain is coccyx-level, you want the cutout.

Worth knowing on timing: this one’s price moves around a lot. It’s currently well under where it’s typically sat over the last three months, and it’s selling noticeably better lately, ranking #33,653 in Office Products against a 90-day average of #77,277. More than 100 bought in the past month. So check the live number rather than assuming.

The U-Shaped Cutout Goes at the Back

Orientation is the whole thing. The U-shaped cutout goes at the back, under your tailbone, not at the front under your thighs. I’ve seen people put these on backwards and then wonder why nothing improved.

On a flat chair, your coccyx takes the load every single minute you’re sitting. There’s no give under it, so pressure just builds into that dull ache you notice around hour three. The cutout removes the contact point entirely. Your weight redistributes onto the sit bones, which are built to carry it. Hips sit level, the pelvis stops rolling back, and you’re not unconsciously tilting to one side to get relief.

The foam density is doing the other half of the job. High-density memory foam is what keeps the shape over months instead of flattening into a pancake by week three. When I pressed it, the rebound was immediate and even. That’s what you want from a material that’s going to hold a body for six hours a day. A soft foam feels great for the first ten minutes and then you’re effectively sitting on the chair again.

And it’s portable. Same cushion moves to a car seat, a recliner, or the couch. If you commute and then sit at a desk, that’s two pressure problems solved with one piece of foam. Check the current price on Amazon and look at the dimensions while you’re there.

Check Your Seat Fit Before It Ships

A cushion adds height. That’s the catch: a cushion adds height to your setup. Your desk setup still needs to work for you after the cushion goes on, and if you were already sitting close to the right elbow height, you’re now a couple inches too tall and your shoulders creep up while you type.

So before you order, do two things. Drop your chair height and see if you still have adjustment left. Then measure your seat pan and check the Tucker’s dimensions against it. A cushion that overhangs the edges slides around, and one that’s too narrow leaves you perched. There’s no setup beyond that, unpack it, cutout to the back, sit down.

Would I Keep It on the Chair?

It’s still on my chair, which is the only verdict that counts for an editing setup. The change wasn’t dramatic in the first five minutes. It showed up around the point in a long edit where I’d normally get up and walk around because sitting had stopped being tolerable.

The backing removes the only real objection. Measure wrong and it doesn’t fit your seat pan, send it back within 30 days, free. Foam compresses and flattens two years from now, lifetime replacement, no receipt drama. The only thing left to get wrong is orientation, and now you know: cutout goes at the back.

Pros

  • High-density memory foam that rebounds in real time instead of staying compressed
  • U-shaped cutout at the back takes the tailbone out of the load path
  • Lifetime replacement policy plus a 30-day money-back guarantee and free shipping
  • Moves between desk chair, car seat, couch, and recliner
  • Fixes the seat you already own instead of forcing a new chair purchase

Cons

  • It adds height, so your desk ergonomics need rechecking after you install it
  • Fit isn’t universal, you have to measure your seat against the dimensions first
  • Orientation isn’t obvious at a glance, the cutout has to go at the back

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it stay put on a leather or mesh chair?

The strapped versions in this line use dual adjustable straps with extension pieces and fit chairs up to 32 inches wide, which is what keeps them from sliding on slick surfaces. On leather especially, strapping it down is the difference between a cushion and a frisbee. Check whether the model you’re ordering includes the straps.

How do I clean it?

Spot clean the cover and keep the memory foam core dry. Foam doesn’t like being soaked and it takes forever to dry through, which is how cushions start to smell. Never put the core in a washing machine.

Can I use it in the car on long drives?

Yes, it’s built to move between office chairs, recliners, couches, and car seats. Bucket seats are the one place to be careful because the contouring can fight the cushion shape. Try it in your own seat inside the 30-day window.

What does the lifetime replacement policy actually cover?

Everlasting Comfort backs the cushion with a free lifetime warranty, so a foam failure down the line is on them rather than you. That’s separate from the 30-day money-back guarantee, which is your fit test. Register or keep your order details so the claim is simple later.

Loses a few tenths on the height it adds, fixing your seat only to break your elbow height defeats the purpose. Nobody with a low desk clearance or a narrow seat pan should order without measuring first. A thinner profile option in the same foam density would make this a five.
